The unemployment of youth is a major challenge and it is soaring day by day. The rural unemployment is driving many social issues like migration of people, burden to urban facilities, poor income, mal-nutrition and even antisocial activities like theft etc.

The state of Jharkhand is blessed with diverse aquatic resources. This diversity can be used to generate employment, increase the income and ensure the food and nutritional security by promoting advanced aquaculture practices and associated avenues of employment.

Further, the requirement of local demand for the fish can be met and the state can aim for fish surplus region and sell to neighboring states.

Aquaculture and its allied activities can create a lot of employment. The sole requirement for it is the training and demonstration to youth and making them ready for entrepreneurship.

The entrepreneurs have the major role to play for creating employment opportunity for youth. King fisheries Ratu Jharkhand has taken a lead in the line and created ripples to sensitize the youth in the state for the entrepreneurship.

Now the effort in this direction needs its wider horizon. The techniques like Biofloc system, RAS System, RFF, Pond culture, Reservoir culture are being demonstrated to entrepreneurs and farmers.

Additionally, the demonstration on other practices like lined pond biofloc system, lined pond raceways system, RAS system, integrated fish farming, ornamental fish farming etc. can be demonstrated.
